4 Reasons Why You Should Consider ConcertIDC

Software Careers That Work

The pandemic caused many people to reconsider the way they live and work, and it was no different at ConcertIDC. Somehow, we managed to meet our project deadlines, hire new staff and pull off a merger in the middle of one of the most chaotic business environments ever.

But all of that came with a silver lining. With offices in four states in the U.S. and nine states in India, we were still working under the notion that employees needed to live near the office. When the pandemic struck and remote work became a necessity, we soon realized that our hiring practices didn’t need to be bound by geography. We were able to open our talent pool and hire talented software developers regardless of where they lived.

Today, we’re proud of our hybrid culture, which allows our staff members to work in the manner and place that’s best for them. If they want to come into the office and interact with others, we certainly encourage that. If they want to work from home in order to better balance their personal and professional lives, that’s fine, too.

It’s just another example of the open, innovative and collaborative environment at ConcertIDC. Here are four reasons why so many talented software developers are choosing to work with us.

1. We believe people want a career with purpose.

No one wants to be just a cog in a wheel. Our staff members want to understand the purpose behind what they’re doing and how they fit into the bigger picture. That’s why we always make sure all project members recognize the importance of their specific roles. When staff members see the innovative software we’re developing to help our clients thrive, they feel more passion and purpose for their work.

2. If our employees aren’t growing, we’re not doing our job.

I’m a big believer in continuous professional development. Even after 25+ years in the tech industry, I’m still asking questions, learning new things and developing additional skills. In India, we have an entire educational center we call ConcertIDC University where new graduates learn to apply what they learned in school to real-world scenarios. We help them hone their skills on powerful programming tools like React Native and PHP, and prepare them for successful careers. By encouraging our staff members to constantly learn and improve, they feel more engaged, motivated and satisfied with their work.

3. With us, work flexibility is a permanent thing.

As I mentioned before, I believe that work-life balance and flexibility is a must. We even have a program for professional women called “Relaunch Yourself.” It’s a way for women who have taken a career break to ease back into the workforce with whatever time they have to commit to the job. They’re guided by a team of women who believe strongly in diversity and inclusivity. Several women who took time off for maternity leave have now returned to us and are working from home while caring for their families.

4. Working remotely doesn’t mean working alone.

Even staff members who work remotely feel they’re a vital part of the overall project team. Depending on their skill sets, they may work with a single team or multiple teams, and they communicate with these teams each day. This helps everyone stay fresh, connected and focused on their project goals.

If you want to work for a company that lets you have fun, work with the latest software tools and grow both personally and professionally, I encourage you to take a close look at ConcertIDC. Just send your resume to jobs@concertidc.com
